Soon - European Youth Card in Georgia!
1 Sep, 2025Soon, the European Youth Card will become available for young people aged 18 to 30 — one card that connects 9.3 million young people across 40 European countries and provides access to more than 25,000 discounts.
The program aims to increase young people’s access to mobility, accommodation, education, sports, culture, and leisure services. To achieve this, the card offers its holders thousands of discounts on a wide variety of services in entertainment, education, travel, sports, and recreation.
Beyond discounts, the program will also create educational and community activities for young people and open doors to a wide range of European opportunities, such as international projects, prize draws, and online activities.
The European Youth Card was first introduced in 1986 as a “key to new opportunities for young people” and remains to this day the largest pan-European youth initiative. The program is managed by the European Youth Card Association (EYCA), a non-profit international organization based in Brussels. The Association works closely with the European Union and the Council of Europe and operates through partner organizations that act as issuing bodies in their respective countries.
In Georgia, the exclusive partner of the Association is Tbilisi City Hall, which holds the sole right to run the European Youth Card program in the country.
Through a collaboration between Tbilisi City Hall and Bank of Georgia, from autumn 2025, beneficiaries of the program will be able to access European Youth Card benefits directly through their mobile banking app, combining banking services and European opportunities in a single digital card.
From the very first day of issuance, Georgian youth will enjoy the same discounts as EYC cardholders in other countries. The 25,000 discounts available across 40 countries cover a wide range of attractive services — from travel and transportation (FlixBus, FlixTrain, Iberia Airways, Airalo) to restaurants, music festivals, bookstores, retail shops, hotels, amusement parks, and more.
