Working visit of EYCA representatives in Tbilisi

On July 7-8, Culture, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs Department of Tbilisi City Hall and Tbilisi Sports and Youth Center hosted working visit of Manel Sánchez, the director of the European Youth Card Association, and Pablo Guillerna, the head of the digital transformation of European Youth Card services.

The purpose of the visit was to support the implementation of the European Youth Card in Georgia and to involve Georgian youth in the services and programs of the card. At the meeting, the issues of future cooperation and the action plan for the operation of the European Youth Card in Tbilisi and Georgia were discussed. 

Within the framework of the visit, the guests got acquainted with the municipal programs and services, as well as the ongoing large-scale projects that are a priority for the City Hall.

The delegation also held meetings with local and international organizations representing the youth sector, student associations. At the end of the visit, the representatives of the delegation met with the members of the municipality council. 

The European Youth Card Association is supported by the Council of Europe and the European Commission. The card is a priority of European youth policy, and its goal is to support the mobility of young people across Europe and their socio-economic empowerment. 

From 2024, in cooperation with Tbilisi City Hall and EYCA, cards will be issued in Georgia as well.
