Puppet Theaters Union of Georgia

The LEPL Professional State Puppet Theaters Union of Georgia was established in 2022 and unites five professional state theaters in the country (Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Borjomi, Akhaltsikhe, and Gurjaani).

All five theaters, members of the Union, are special and important cultural and educational centers throughout the country. Throughout their existence and development, theaters have always fulfilled the national mission assigned to them, which primarily involves providing aesthetic education to future generations, raising their awareness, and forming them.

The existence and functioning of the Union is an important part of the country’s cultural policy, which, with its diverse repertoire policy and taking into account the artistic needs of various segments of the teenage audience, creates appropriate product-performances.

In addition to the local audience, the Union successfully carries out many international tours and, in this regard, effectively fulfills an important priority of the country's cultural policy, implying the process of integration of Georgian culture with world cultures. The Union's activities also aim to support and promote Georgian, foreign, children's, and classical literature.
